a simple wiping technique adds style to the painted clay pot
TOOLS AND MATERIALS
Design Master Sprays - COLORTOOL Spray Basil, Prairie Grass, Vanilla, Metallic Spray Super Silver, Mess Master – 4" clay rose pots, paper towel, latex glove
TECHNIQUE
- Basecoat pots with Super Silver, applying approx. 12" from surface. Let dry.
- Apply 2 coats of Vanilla, Basil or Prairie Grass to individual pots. Let dry.
- Wad paper towel around your index finger and spray Mess Master into tip. Then wipe away color in random areas of the pot. Vary how deep you remove the color, some areas down to the terra cotta, others just to the silver basecoat. Reapply Mess Master as needed to wipe all of pot.
